Professor Habil.dr. Vaidotas Kažukauskas is The topic of my research work is investigation of carrier transport, generation, recombination and trapping phenomena in crystalline, non-crystalline (A2B6, A3B5, Si, SiC, GaN, etc.), and organic semiconductors, their compounds and structures by means of photo-magneto-electric and thermally stimulated methods. Material defects, their interaction with inhomogeneities and their complex effect on carrier transport and trapping are analysed in advanced materials for electronic, optoelectronic and photovoltaic applications. Currently organic and inorganic photovoltaics is in the focus of our research work. I am/was involved as a national team leader into four large-scale international projects.   I have all in all more than 370 scientific publications. Many of them were published in the world – leading journals, e.g., Phys. Rev. B, Appl. Phys. Lett., Sol. En. Mat. Sol. Cells, J. Appl. Phys., Org. Electron., Semicond. Sci. Technol., and others. I have delivered more than 57 invited lectures at the international conferences. Our original investigation method of the transport and recombination phenomena is patented as an invention. I have authored three textbooks.  All in all I have spent more than three years working abroad at the well-known universities and research centres. The financial support for these academic and scientific projects was given by the international governmental and private foundations, basing on the competitive ability of my scientific projects.   I know well Lithuanian, English, German, and Russian languages, and have a basic knowledge of French and Polish languages.
